Thanks for the recommended reading. I recently found a great book for clients with BPD, "Lost in the Mirror, by Richard Moskovitz. As a clinician I enjoyed this beautifully written book that explores BPD with compassion and a depth of understanding rarely seen. My clients find it empathic and illuminating.

Enjoy. I found my copy at Amazon.com -

After 30plus years as a "carer"{uk term}I find the most helpful work-after Freud-is Masud Khan's "Privacy of the Self"No doubt Khan was awful as a person but his clinical insights are marvellous-every essay in this book-hugely backgrounded -but not just a synthesist-a truly original thinker at the level of his mentor,Winnicott.

Just wanted to say that label borderline is not helpful when working with borderline clients. I would recommend reading as much about attachment and lack of attachment as you can when working with people who suffer from an abandonment wound. The reason why many therapists are afaraid of working with borderline clients is because its deep work. For both.
